Sometimes the best way to learn more about your own processes is to see how others do things.
A few weeks ago, members of our team had the opportunity to visit Oetjen Logistik as part of an exchange program – and experience a very different approach to organizing logistics processes.
At AMA Freight Agency Freight, one contact usually accompanies a shipment from A to Z. At Oetjen Logistik GmbH, different specialized departments and colleagues take responsibility for individual steps along the process.
During our visit, we got a closer look at three areas: Belog, Service and Port – from warehousing and truck loading to the planning of local and long-distance transport.
Different structures come with different perspectives. And seeing those processes in action gave us plenty of interesting insights to take back to our own daily work.
